Awakenings Rehabilitation believes that all treatment decisions are driven by patient, clinical, and medical needs. Treatment follows the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) extensive guidance on the use of treatment resources to manage substance treatment. Patients are placed in designated levels of care according to their demonstrated need for treatment services. Throughout the treatment process, each individual is continuously assessed to determine medical necessity and appropriateness for the current level of treatment.
Although the primary focus of treatment at Awakenings Rehabilitation is drug and alcohol abuse, other behavioral issues are also addressed utilizing a multidisciplinary approach. Such modalities include skills training, psychosocial, behavioral, medication management, integrating combined therapies, cognitive, family and individual counseling, independent living skills, job readiness, drug and addiction education, AA/NA, coping skills, communication skills, problem solving skills, spirituality, stress management and relaxation, massage, as well as physical therapy exercises. Upon admission, every patient is assigned a primary therapist, counselor, individualized target groups, and a customized Cognitive Behavioral program. Thus, each patient is provided a specific treatment team responsible for initial and ongoing assessment, therapy, individual treatment planning, and aftercare development.
Awakenings Rehabilitation multidisciplinary team is made up of a Medical Director, Registered Nurses, Licensed Mental Health Counselors, Certified Addiction Professionals, and Behavioral Health Professionals. The treatment team is supervised on a daily basis by the Medical and Clinical Directors and Executive Officer. Learn more about Awakenings Rehab.
