Addiction is a cruel and unforgiving master.  To achieve a state of true addiction, one usually ends up burning many bridges and losing the trust of dear friends and family.  That being said, there can come the point when an addicted person realizes that enough is enough and it is time to get help.  So with the trusted bridges half burned and shaky, and one’s pride on the line, it can be a challenging task to work up the gumption to ask for help.  In fact, it can seem like it is just easier to continue living miserably with your now hated addiction.  As the saying goes where there is a will, there is a way and there no wrong or right way to ask for help.
